Billings MT

Join a highly regarded group with loyal patients. If you’re an Optometrist who really cares about patients, we’d love to talk with you. Do lasers too, if you’d like!

Our private Optometry practice is a busy, trusted group in Billings, Montana. We have an extraordinary staff and we’re known for exceptional patient care and a highly loyal community following. We’re currently scheduling about 4 weeks out, and we’re ready to welcome another optometrist as we continue to grow. Also, for new grad ODs, or young Optometrists – We have a phenomenal mentor waiting for you. Our owner is a natural teacher and it energizes him to share his knowledge with caring optometrists.

With phenomenal patient feedback (4.9 / 677 Google reviews), an outstanding support team, and a relaxed pace that prioritizes relationships, this is a rare opportunity to join a practice where patients are truly cared for—never rushed.

Why Join Our Team?

“Our patients are the reason we’re willing to go the extra mile, day in and day out. We are a relational, fun practice and many of our patients are our friends. There’s never been a day when I couldn’t wait to get to the office to see my loyal staff and patients.” – Practice Owner

Since opening in 2008, we have earned a reputation for warm, personal, high-quality eyecare—and a culture that feels like family.

Highlights

  • Excellent compensation

  • Ownership / succession potential (ideal for an OD who wants a long-term home)
  • Reasonably paced schedule (approx. 20 patients/day)

The Practice Style + Culture

Our practice philosophy is not about how many patients we can see— We are not a conveyor-belt office. We are a highly relational group that believes patients deserve:

  • trust and long-term relationships
  • compassionate, loyal care

The culture is laid-back, upbeat, with a family feel. The environment is positive, and the team is proud of the work they do.

We’re looking for an OD who is:

  • professional and personable
  • bright, humble, and gracious
  • relationship-driven
  • compassionate and consistent
  • someone who will go the extra mile for patients

Your Role

You’ll provide full-scope optometry, including:

In 2025, Montana expanded it’s scope of practice for Optometrists, so at our office you can do lasers. Here’s what the law says:

Montana’s expanded scope law, effective July 1, 2025, allows optometrists (ODs) to perform specific in-office laser surgeries on the eye’s anterior segment (front part) and surrounding tissues (adnexa) after certification, including procedures like laser capsulotomy and peripheral iridotomy, but prohibits deeper surgeries like intraocular or intravitreal injections, significantly improving access to care in the rural state.
